On the island with the school
What happened?
One time while I was relaxing a girl came up and complemented me.
How did I feel?
I felt good but very tired. I also felt happy for doing a good deed, but I was a bit homesick. Plus I was burning in the sun.
What surprised me?
I was surprised when the kids loved each of our prizes which were gold stars, fist pumps, and high-5s.
What will I remember?
I will remember that being a teacher is hard and that some kids are really nice to you even if you hardly knew them.
